Meet the Coordinator: Dr. Amy Mullen


Dr. Amy Mullen, GP/MD, is passionate about helping others find health and wellness naturally.


She loves to see people improve and regain their health by addressing the root causes rather than a bandaid approach that doesn't deal with the actual problem! She is a trained medical doctor with an interest in sports and preventive medicine as well as having a bachelors in Nursing. In addition, she is certified as a rational emotive behavioural therapy (REBT) counsellor. Dr. Amy combines her efforts at the Balance Centre with national and international professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, financial advisors, motivational speakers, counsellors, and more to provide practical and interactive workshops and seminars in a wide variety of areas of physical, mental, emotional health, shopping tours, cooking demonstrations and lifestyle programmes.

Dr. Amy Mullen trained initially in Loma Linda, California but moved to New Zealand in 2006. She now lives in Invercargill, New Zealand with her psychiatrist husband and two boys she is homeschooling when not working, travelling or volunteering. She enjoys hiking, biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, surfing, kayaking and almost any other outdoor activity.

Dr. Amy Mullen is also available to speak by prior arrangement on topics of health and wellness for businesses, professionals, organizations and private groups.
